Description


Role • Responsible for managing all 3rd party stakeholder interfaces, and coordinating and managing compliance with all Undertakings and Assurances (U&As) within a defined geographic area, in accordance with the Works Information and best practice. • Acting as the primary liaison between the project, HS2 Ltd and key stakeholders for that defined area. • Proactively developing productive relationships which deliver benefits for all parties. • The Stakeholder Interface Manager reports directly to the Programme Interface Manager but is accountable to the U&A Interface Manager all U&A activities and issues. Competencies • Detailed understanding of the construction industry. • Understanding of the statutory process and planning requirements of the HS2 Act. • Detailed understanding of 3rd party drivers to assist in relationship building and issue resolution. • Outstanding communicator with a warm and persuasive manner - able to adapt methods and styles of communication. Approachable and responsive. • Ability to quickly and effectively establish stakeholder drivers to identify value opportunities. • Strong listening skills. • Driven - proactively identifies and pursues new opportunities. • Network orientated. Responsible for • Development & implementation of the SCS 3rd Party Stakeholder engagement strategy, and of local stakeholder management plans for key stakeholders within the defined area. • Ensure the Works are carried out in accordance with relevant U&As and other 3rd Party Agreements and within specified timescales, including collaborating with others (e.g. other Main Works Civils Contractors etc.) to deliver consistency and “Best for Programme” outcomes. • Liaison with stakeholders and the Project team for the assessment of the impact of design and construction activities on U&As, 3rd Party assets and stakeholders, and to assist in the development of alternative methods or other solutions to stakeholder issues, throughout the life of the project. Work alongside the Community Engagement team to ensure consistency of SKANSKA I COSTAIN I STRABAG Stakeholder Manager JD - revised v2 2 of 3 information to stakeholders and the wider community, and provide support for community events. • Maintain an understanding of the progress of the formal consenting regime as it applies within the relevant defined area, and support the Consents team as required to facilitate the securing of consents. • Liaison with other relevant HS2 Contractors within the define area to support the U&A Manager in delivering a consistent approach to deal with routewide U&As, 3rd Parties or consenting bodies that may be common across the route. • During design development and in advance of any works, liaise with the U&A Manager, SCS and HS2 HSE and Construction Management teams to support the U&A Manager in developing a schedule of construction information that SCS is to provide as required under the terms of any U&A or 3rd Party Agreement. • Regular liaison with HS2, 3rd Parties and other HS2 contractors to ensure sharing of best practices, innovation and continuous improvement. • Advising / briefing the wider project team / subcontractors on all relevant stakeholder matters including providing sufficient information on pertinent U&As or 3rd Party Agreements and other stakeholder requirements to enable the team to produce relevant plans, including but not limited to Traffic Management and Construction Logistics Plans.
