Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm (please be aware that some shift work may be required)


Brief overview of the role: to provide an efficient and effective administrative service to designated teams within the Trust Vacancy description • Assist in the provision of an efficient and courteous reception service for the trust • Meet and Greet visitors to the department as required • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, relatives and carers face to face and via telephone • Keep patients informed of any expected waiting periods or delays to appointment times • Support the bookings and co-ordinating of patient appointments using IT systems • Provide a range of administrative support functions including filing, photocopying, word processing, data inputting • Collect and distribute post for the department • Obtain clinical and non clinical records • Liaise with other departments and wards within the hospital • Assist with the ordering and maintenance of stock supplies • Duties may include or have an any other reasonable administrative duty as requested.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications required • GCSEs Maths and English A-E or equivalent (Level 1, Key Skills or Functional Skills)
